Intoxication: In most cases, an employee who is found to be under the influence of alcohol at the workplace will be guilty of grave misconduct and, as a rule, the employer may dismiss the employee once it has been established that the employee is indeed under the influence of alcohol. But how does the employer go about proving that the employee is intoxicated? Is a blood test or a breathalyzer test always necessary? It would be preferable that such tests are carried out on the employee.
